This is Qiu Zi’s first visit to Huamei International. Bai Yiran had arranged for her assistant Xiao Dan to wait downstairs for Qiu Zi in advance, so the security guard at the entrance didn’t trouble her and let her in directly.
Xiao Dan led Qiu Zi all the way to the door of Bai Yiran’s office in the administration department and knocked on the door, "Manager, Miss Qiu is here."

"I guess you all have nothing better to do!" Amy just returned from the finance department and saw those colleagues who normally love to gossip surrounding Xiao Dan. "Instead of working, you’re just waiting to go home, huh? Let me remind you, the quarterly assessments are coming up, so you better watch yourselves!"
Upon seeing Amy, everyone immediately dispersed back to their positions.
Amy glanced at Xiao Dan and waved her over, "Xiao Dan, come to my office for a bit."
Finally relieved, Xiao Dan followed Amy to her office, "Manager Ai, luckily you came back just in time; otherwise, I wouldn’t know how to handle those people."
Amy smiled and pointed at a chair, asking Xiao Dan to sit down, "Come sit, I want to ask you something."
"What is it?" Xiao Dan asked with a cheeky grin.
"Who’s that beautiful girl the manager had you pick up today? Is she joining our department out of the blue?"

Meanwhile, in Bai Yiran’s office, Qiu Zi was unaware that her visit had stirred up such a commotion and was wandering around Bai Yiran’s office.
"Do you read all the books on your bookshelf?" Qiu Zi asked idly.
"I’ve read most of them," Bai Yiran replied, leaning back in her chair and sipping coffee after finishing her work.
"Most of them?" Qiu Zi repeated Bai Yiran’s words, "It’s more than I read when studying medicine."
Bai Yiran put down her coffee cup, "Have you really decided not to be a doctor anymore?"
Qiu Zi nodded, "Yes, I used to live like a puppet on strings, no freedom, no self. But from now on, I’m going to live the way I want."
"So, what are your plans for the future?" Bai Yiran asked.
"I don’t know," Qiu Zi shook her head, "I have some money right now, so I’ll think about it properly during this period."
As soon as money was mentioned, Qiu Zi suddenly remembered that she still held the fifty million Yin Tianshen had given her. She never had the chance to return it, and over time she just forgot.
Bai Yiran noticed the change in Qiu Zi’s expression, "What’s wrong?"
