Chapter 1089 CHAPTER 1089

The moment Scarlet shouted out the words, they didn't hesitate at all.

Every single of the elite forces pulled out their purple pills and tossed them into their mouths.

That wasn't all; they also pulled out a blue pill and swallowed it immediately afterwards.

Feeling the effects kick in, they could feel their mana core replenish at an amazing rate.

The warriors' Dantian overflowed with Ki as they gripped their weapons tighter ready to take the fight to another level entirely.

Scarlet rushed forward as she quickly tossed the pills into her mouth and swallowed hard.

The moment she came to a halt beside the others, she exhaled sharply and so did the other mages in the elite forces.

All their hairs rose above their shoulders as a white glow could be seen appearing in their eyes and turning brighter and brighter.

The warriors stared at this phenomenon with stoic looks as they had seen this before on different occasions.

Hence, they gripped their weapons tighter and charged back into the battle in order to support Thalos, Noir and Kira therefore leaving the mages to do their thing.

A crimson glow began pulsating around Scarlet's body— beating as if it followed her every breath.

A blue glow appeared around Greg and Max's body.

Each appeared around the mage's body resonated with the elements that they wielded.

For Lyra, it was an ethereal, white glow that wrapped around her body.

Then in unison, they all uttered;

"Breakthrough."

BOOOM!

A wave of energy erupted from their bodies kicking dust into the air.

Weaving in between a flurry of pressurised swings from Mada, Killian and Alba, the demon vaulted backward with his forearm lifted in the air to bash Thalos away from him.

In the same breath, he fluidly sidestepped a bolt of lightning from Kira who looked like she was running on low fumes.

Noir bolted forward in his pup-like form and when he was close, he immediately increased his size, bashing his whole body into the demon with his entire force therefore sending Jim sliding backward a few inches.

And in his path, Rivock could be seen with his hand cocked behind his body as Ki wrapped around his whole arm which he thrust forward, smashing it into the demon with crushing strength.

The ground caved in from the force of the punch yet, Jim didn't move an inch as he spun around with an elbow strike, streaking towards the warrior's head.

At that exact moment, an earth wall rose in place absorbing the impact of the elbow strike before shuddering and cracking massively.

The demon's eyes snapped in Dante's direction.

The mage could be seen glowing softly as the ground responded with every step he took forward.

Before Jim could say anything, five hundred wind blades fired out from above.

The demon snapped his head upward to see a gigantic wind bird floating above him and sending the attacks screaming his way.

Leaping from side to side; the demon blurred in between the attacks like they were nothing.

Mada swooped in with a thrust of his sword that was now wrapped in visual ki.

The demon lifted its palm in place allowing for the sword to strike with massive force yet the raised hand only moved an inch backward as the sword bent backward before splintering in half with Mada looking confused.

A rush of air after, a roundhouse kick was speeding towards the direct descendant only for Rivock to appear in the path of the kick with ki swirling all around his body as he crossed his hands in front of his face.

BAM!

The ground ruptured immediately as Rivock was sent lurching backward uncontrollably.

Before the outstretched leg could descend, Thalos crashed onto it with his greatsword smashing into the thigh of the demon slicing a few inches through.

Before it could completely severe the leg, the tendons and veins in the leg moved wrapping around the sword and locking it in place.

No matter how hard Thalos pressed, the sword refused to slice through.

Kicking off from the ground with his other leg, the demon bashed it into the gargoyle sending him blasting away without his sword.

The demon crashed on his back then planted his hands on the ground and vaulted to his feet.

Only for a dragon wreathed in flames to appear directly behind it with a stream of fire rushing towards the Zodiac with blazing speed.

Feeling how tremendously hot it was, Jim spun around with his claws glowing a dangerous green as he proceeded to swing them forward.

The claws ripped through the flames like razor through fabric.

And in front of him, Greg could be seen with lightning wrapped so tightly around his hands that it made the air tremble.

BAM!

He smashed his whole hand into the demon's face, throwing the Zodiac's head to the side with a few specks of blood splattering into the air.

The next second, the same head snapped back in place as Jim swung it in a brutal headbutt but Greg had already anticipated this as he bolted backward in time to avoid the headbutt.

The moment the head crashed through the air, the wind moved and a colossal gale smashed into the zodiac, sending his head flinging backward.

His eyes rolled around to catch a man wreathed in crackling lightning with a lightning sword in hand, spinning downward like an arrow let loose.

The speed he was going out was too great that in less than a beat, he crashed into the demon with explosive force.

The ground exploded outwardly in a massive hollow as the spinning sword held by Max ripped through the demon's chest exiting the other end as he proceeded to skid a few inches away with blood spraying into the air from the massive gaping hole on the demon's chest.

Jim was shocked. In total disbelief as his blood pooled beneath his feet.

Sol wasn't about to let this opportunity go.

She darted forward with blazing speed while moving her hands through the air and chanting repeatedly.

Within a few seconds, a pair of runes appeared around the demon and from their depths, a blazing funnel of flames roared and converged on the demon instantly.

A mini explosion rocked outwardly as Sol halted abruptly mid dash.

Everybody were also about to dash forward when they saw the young woman stiffen and then slowly turn around.

Everybody's pupils dilated as a thin mark appeared on her neck followed by multiple slashes to her body.

And then, her body disintegrated into a rain of blood and symmetrical chunks of flesh. The sight of it was morbid as chunks of her flesh flew into the air with the demon standing in the exact same spot she stood.

It panted. His snout flaring with his eyes glowing intensely with the injury dealt to its chest healing at an astonishing rate and speed.
