Chapter 444 - 408: Trouble Stirs Again (Part 1)
The voice hit everyone present like a physical blow, churning their insides until they felt sick.
Their eyes filled with terror and awe.
This was undoubtedly the oppressive Power of a High Rank Martial Cultivator.
’Could this young girl be a Martial King?’
Alvin Morgan saw the faces around him flush a deeper and deeper red, veins bulging on their foreheads. They looked as if they were about to meet their maker at any second. He coughed softly twice.
Taking the cue, Aurora Sinclair opened her palm, allowing the concentrated Power of Heaven and Earth to dissipate.
Ever since she began to comprehend the principles of the Power of Heaven and Earth three years ago, her mastery over this energy had grown increasingly proficient.
She could almost wield it at will, but her physical body still had its limits.
Alvin Morgan watched as everyone began to gasp for air, as if they had been brought back from the dead. "You only get one chance," he said flatly.
Understanding his meaning, the crowd scrambled to their feet and performed the Ancient Martial Ceremony for Aurora Sinclair. "Your Excellency, we are willing to be your sponsors. We humbly ask for your guidance."
In less than three hours.
Aurora Sinclair and Alvin Morgan had already completed the fourth trial ahead of schedule.
Not only had they banked a significant amount of time, but they had also won over every Level Three member present.
The Level Three members made up the largest portion of the International Martial Alliance’s roster; they were the backbone of the entire organization.
Furthermore, they spent most of their time abroad handling the affairs of the various national branches of the Martial Alliance, which meant they had connections in many different countries.
During their few days at the International Martial Alliance, Aurora Sinclair and Alvin Morgan had picked up on quite a few rumors.
This included news that several nations from the Western Continent were banding together to cause trouble for Veridia.
"Your Excellency, this whole thing started because the Guardian of Arcadia’s disciple killed the son of a Prince from the Karthos Royal Family in the Western Continent."
One of the Martial Artists explained in a hushed voice.
Alvin Morgan’s eyes narrowed, his expression shifting. "Where did you hear that? Is the source reliable?"
The Martial Artist nodded. "It’s reliable. The person handling the case is a close friend of mine. The Guardian of Veridia and the Guardian of Karthos have already met in Keldara. Both sides are sticking to their stories, and they haven’t reached an agreement."
"Is there any proof that the Veridian Guardian’s disciple was the killer?"
At that, the Martial Artist glanced at Aurora Sinclair and said hesitantly, "The word is that someone inside the Alliance started the rumor. But since there’s no hard evidence, the Regulators for both continents can only try to placate both sides."
Alvin Morgan’s expression turned grim. ’When Hector Lennox killed that man from the Western Continent, only the two of them were there. There were no other witnesses. This whole thing is a conspiracy aimed at Aurora Sinclair.’
"What’s the proposed solution?"
"Karthos is demanding exorbitant compensation from Veridia. Veridia has refused, claiming it’s a baseless accusation. Now it seems Karthos is planning to resort to military action."
"They dare—"
Aurora Sinclair shot to her feet, murder flashing in her eyes.
The Martial Artist was thrown back several steps by the Power radiating from her. He replied cautiously, "Your Excellency, this is a major incident, please don’t be rash. Let’s handle this peacefully..."

Because of this sudden news, Aurora Sinclair and Alvin Morgan immediately went to find Hector Lennox.
But they discovered he had already resigned from his position as a Special Level Referee for the International Martial Alliance and had vanished without a trace.
Aurora Sinclair’s face turned livid. "Hector Lennox—" she growled through gritted teeth.
Her furious voice echoed throughout the entire tower, startling everyone inside, including the two individuals on the top floor.
The pair opened their eyes simultaneously, their expressions shifting.
’Is that the Power of Heaven and Earth, wielded by a Martial Lord?’
’Have other Regulators arrived?’
The two of them swiftly left their rooms, speeding in Aurora Sinclair’s direction.
When they arrived, they found Aurora Sinclair and Alvin Morgan sitting in Hector Lennox’s office, waiting for them.
A crowd of High Rank and Special Level Members had also gathered around.
Caleb Winslow hadn’t expected the voice to belong to Aurora Sinclair. His face instantly darkened. He was about to turn and leave when a surge of the Power of Heaven and Earth washed over him.
"Since you’re here, why don’t we have a chat?"
Caleb Winslow and Merck Gold both made a move simultaneously, but Aurora Sinclair’s command of the Power of Heaven and Earth was clearly more masterful than theirs.
If they were to truly fight, they would likely destroy the entire tower.
Merck Gold cleared his throat and spoke first. "What would you like to discuss, Your Excellency?"
"Ditto Miles, play the video."
"Yes, Master."
A beam of light shot out from Alvin Morgan’s arm, projecting onto the wall.
The video was shaky, clearly filmed in the middle of a fight.
The color drained from Caleb Winslow’s face. The hand hidden in his sleeve clenched into a fist.
His eyes darted toward someone in the crowd.
"Out in the world, the Karthos Royal Family of the Western Continent is making trouble for Veridia, on the grounds that I murdered one of their own. Is *this* the murder they’re talking about?" Aurora Sinclair’s challenging tone made everyone’s expression change drastically.
Merck Gold pondered for a moment. "Vincent Lawson, who knew about the incident with the royal from the Western Continent during the selection trials?"
Victor Lawson, wiping away sweat, stepped out from the crowd and replied respectfully, "Besides the five of us and those two, no one knew."
Alvin Morgan switched off the projector. "Add the two of you chairmen, and that makes nine people who knew," he said coolly. "As for who leaked the information, that makes every one of you a suspect..."
"How audacious!" a stern-faced man shouted. "Bringing a video of dubious authenticity here to stir up trouble! Do you think I won’t revoke your eligibility for the trials?"
But Aurora Sinclair simply flicked a finger into the air. The man’s body shot backward as if struck by an invisible force, flying back more than ten meters.
"As for the video’s authenticity, we can release it to the public right now and let the entire world analyze it," Alvin Morgan said coolly. "The only question is... do you dare let us?"
With varying expressions, the crowd all turned to look at Merck Gold and Caleb Winslow.
Just then, Caleb Winslow, who had been silent all this time, suddenly spoke up. "Since Hector Lennox was the perpetrator, he must also be the one who leaked the news. Someone notify the Martial Affairs Bureau and have Hector Lennox arrested immediately."
"Hold on. It wasn’t necessarily him," Alvin Morgan interjected.
Caleb Winslow’s brow furrowed once more. He glared at Alvin, his face grim, and let out a cold snort.
A blast of the Power of Heaven and Earth, strong enough to grievously injure Alvin Morgan, shot toward him. Aurora Sinclair’s expression iced over. She raised a hand and blocked the force, saying flatly, "What’s this? Are you trying to silence him for good, Your Excellency?"
"Silence! How dare you slander the Chairman?" the man Aurora Sinclair had injured shouted again, clutching his chest.
Aurora Sinclair gave him an icy look. She was about to strike when Caleb Winslow shouted sharply, "Xavier Marsh!"
The man immediately fell silent.
Caleb Winslow turned back to Aurora Sinclair and Alvin Morgan. "Don’t tell me you know who leaked the information?" he asked in a low voice.
A smirk played on Alvin Morgan’s lips. He scanned the crowd before locking eyes with the chairman. "Since Hector Lennox dared to kill the man, he would have had a cover story prepared to deal with it. After all, accidents happen in these trials every year. So why would he leak the news and bring trouble upon himself? Furthermore, his resignation is also highly suspicious. It’s possible someone here wanted him dead, isn’t that right, Mr. Winslow?"
Caleb Winslow’s gaze turned razor-sharp, a murderous intent directed at Alvin Morgan now palpable.
But just then, the Power of Heaven and Earth began to rise from Aurora Sinclair again. She stared coldly at Caleb Winslow and said pointedly, "If you want to kill someone with a borrowed knife, you’ll have to get my permission first."
